Begin with a dorsal incision.

Resect P1 (proximal) and P2 (middle) Phalanx. After drill preparation, use the specific broaches to prepare the medullary canal.

Remove implant from freezer.

The work-time before expansion is approximately 1.5 to 2 minutes. Take care not to touch the implant to a heat emitting surface before implantation into the proximal phalanx.

Use the provided forceps.

Start the implantation in P1 (proximal) and then P2 (middle) by flexion/ distraction of the PIP joint.
